Saddles

We stock saddles made by Trek, Specialized and Serfas.

Our Guarantee: We will exchange any seat purchased from our shop for another or issue a full refund of any purchase returned with its packaging.

duh #1: The seat you choose depends on the type of bike you ride. Hybrids, Comfort and Flat Foot bikes have you sitting vertically and make you push the pedals slightly in front of you. A wide, soft, saddle would be an appropriate choice.

On a “Performance” bike your body leans further forward. You are “over” the pedals and push straight down (more like a running position). The seat must be narrower to keep the legs from too wide a stance.

Women: We have many seats for women.

Butt Checker: Performance seats from Specialized use a measuring device to measure the width of your sit bones. The device consists of a memory foam pad that you sit on for a minute and determines which of 3 seat widths would be most appropriate for you. These seats are designed to carry your weight on your sit bones and not on the soft tissue. To account for differences in anatomy there are different models for men and wome. Your first impression might be that you’re sitting on a pretty hard seat, BUT your tender parts will not be impacted!

Cutout: Many seats today have a void designed in the center to help alleviate pressure discomfort.

Early Season, duh #2:If you haven’t been on your bike for 5 months your seat will hurt.

Try it out: Bring your bike with you, we will put a saddle on your bike and you can take a test ride. It’s a little like trying on shoes!
